This project involved upgrading an existing premises for the incumbent tenant, combining structural safety with modern design. The works included partial seismic strengthening to achieve over 67% NBS compliance, ensuring the building meets New Zealand Building Code Clause B1 standards. Key structural improvements involved installing new roof bracing, timber bracing walls, and LVL lintels to replace load-bearing walls, supported by temporary roof systems during construction. Inside, the space was refreshed with new wall linings, suspended ceilings, and added a custom-designed entry canopy to enhance accessibility and create a welcoming first impression.
