Party Up

The new purpose built premises for Party Up was built on a green field site. This build was another successful partnership between Colspec and a local developer with whom we've worked with on a number of projects over years.

The initial stages of this project begun in July 2016, culminating in the design and consenting process being completed over the following months, with Colspec breaking ground in January 2017. Completion in the 24 week construction period that was promised to the client at the very beginning of the project was achieved, in line with our company values.

The building comprises of a 389m2 warehouse with a 66m2 mezzanine floor, 302m2 showroom/offices/amenities, and 628m2 of pavement/courtyard. The structure of the build is made up from a combination of in situ concrete floor, precast concrete panels, structural steel roof and wall framing, and timber framing.

Unforeseen excavation works due to substandard sub-grade uncovered during foundation works caused an early niggle. These works were completed in an expedient timeframe under direct instruction from the Engineer, and ultimately did not affect our completion timeframe.

This was a turnkey package, with Colspec managing all aspects from Design, Building Consent, Construction through to landscaping and issue of CCC. We worked closely with the client, who was very involved with the project from beginning to the end. It was their vision and strong views, which ultimately lead to the final overall look. Both Colspec and the Client were extremely pleased with the result.
