Copthorne Hotel Refurbishment

The refurbishment of the existing Kingsgate Hotel, now rebranded as the Copthorne Hotel, consisted of a complete renovation of all six levels of the main building and the adjoining E Block. This renovation was completed whilst the hotel remained operational, with the upgrade taking place between one and three floors at a time.

This project required stripping and replacing to all the internal linings in the bedrooms and hallways, as well as an upgrade of services in all these areas. New toilet blocks and staff areas were constructed on Levels 1 and 2 and the administration and entrance on Level 1 was completely renovated.

Staged timeframes were put in place from the outset of the project due to the client’s requirements to maintain an operational hotel. Vigilant construction management ensured these deadlines were all achieved.
